Childcare providers say they are âfearfulâ of the health implications of the governmentâs new plan to provide the service in the homes of healthcare workers.
Some 88% or 530 childcare providers responding to the federation survey said that they are currently not planning (362) to reopen on June 29 or are unsure (168) about doing so.
The head of the Federation of Early Childhood Providers says there has been no meaningful consultation with them on re-opening their services.
Childcare providers have said they need clarity on how they can re-open in phase 3 of the Government roadmap to easing Covid-19 restrictions, due to start on 29 June.
